Clove leaf, cinnamon and nutmeg. A warm, balanced autumn candle with a calm, grown-up character (no syrup, no sugar). For darker evenings, the kettle on, a book, the radiator finally back on. Hand-poured in London. Silk & Fire was established in Belgravia, where Liz made her first batch.
The scent
Clove leaf gives the blend its backbone. Bold, aromatic, slightly medicinal in the best way. Cinnamon adds the gently sweet, dry warmth you'd hope for. Nutmeg softens the edges with an earthy, almost creamy finish. Spice without the bakery.

When to light it
Autumn evenings. Sunday afternoons baking. The first cold week of October when the house wants to feel like a refuge.
Burn care
Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each burn. On the very first burn, give it the time it needs (around 2 hours) so the wax pool reaches the edge of the glass. That stops it from tunnelling on later burns. Always burn within sight, away from drafts, kids and pets.

Is this a sweet pumpkin spice?
No. There's no vanilla, no sugary top note. It's a dry, real-spice blend (clove, cinnamon, nutmeg) that's warmer and more grown-up than the seasonal supermarket versions.
Is it just for autumn?
It's most popular September through January, but the spice profile works year-round if you like warm scents.

Does it contain paraffin or synthetic fragrance?
No to both. The wax is a plant-based coconut and rapeseed blend, and the scent comes from natural essential oils only.
